Your Event. Expertly Captured.

Your Event. Expertly captured.

We’ve been carrying out exhibition photography at events in both the UK and overseas for over 20 years; which means that we understand not only the specific images that you need to capture, but also the unique constraints and challenges associated with being an unobtrusive – yet intrinsic – part of a successful event.

The different types of photography required broadly breaks down into four different categories:

Stand Photography

Stand Photography

There are different possibilities here. Sometimes, exhibitors who have invested large amounts of time and resources into their stand want professional images of it for their own marketing purposes – and this can be an additional (potentially monetised) service provided by the organisers.

Alternatively, such photography can be useful for the organisers themselves; showcasing the most valued exhibitors, illustrating shell scheme potential, highlighting what makes a successful stand and therefore – ultimately – a successful exhibition experience.

In either case, successful exhibition stand photography requires an ability to capture creative images within a confined, ‘live’ environment – again, without disrupting the crucial flow of visitors to the stand or any activity taking place within it.

Event Marketing Photography

Event Marketing Photography

Exhibition organisers need to capture a successful event in order to assist with marketing future shows, but the type of images required need to appeal to different audiences.

For example, when marketing to potential exhibitors, the focus needs to be on busy aisle shots, networking opportunities and business being done. Conversely, potential visitors are more likely to be interested in seeing impressive stands, a relaxed, convivial environment and – above all – opportunities to get up close and hands-on with the very latest products and services.

Successfully capturing all aspects of the event, without being obtrusive and interfering with exhibitors and visitors doing business, requires a combination of tact, understanding and technical proficiency…as well as the creative ‘eye’ to capture interesting and exciting images, which reflect the organiser’s own brand and the range of marketing material and media where those images need to appear.

Product Photography

Product Photography

When marketing a show – to both potential exhibitors and visitors – it’s important to showcase the products and services on display in the best possible manner. And these products aren’t always the most exciting, particularly if it’s a trade show for a niche audience.

Adding some creative know-how to your exhibition photography, along with an understanding of what elements are likely to be of most interest to your target audience, can help bring your communications to life…as well as making them informative.

Press Photography

Press Photography

Most events are likely to have keynote speakers, seminars, high profile guests etc. Being on hand and quick-witted enough to capture the right images (preferably from exactly the right angle to also show an engaged audience and a branded background) is an art-form in itself.

You only get one opportunity to get it right!

Who Are We?

BTL Creative is a full service design agency which has been specialising in the events sector since 1998; primarily working on behalf of exhibition organisers to assist with marketing material, but also working directly with exhibitors on stand design and production.

This has enabled us to build up a vast bank of industry experience and expertise; ensuring that we not only have the technical ability to capture the right images, but also the creativity to make even the dullest of subject matters interesting and appealing – as well as the wider understanding of exactly how those images will need to be used.

Lead photographer and co-founder, Rob Threadgold, has carried out successful exhibition photography at both trade and consumer events in the UK and across Europe since the inception of the business, and continues to provide a hands-on, personal service for all our clients.
